أشهد يا إلهي بأنّك خلقتني
Ash’hadu ya ilahi be an’naka khalaqtani
I bear witness, O my God, that Thou hast created me
لعرفانك وعبادتك
lee erfanekah wa ebadatek.
to know Thee and to worship Thee.
أشهد في هذا الحين
Ash’hadu fee hadal heen
I testify, at this moment,
بعجزي وقوّتك
be ajzee wa quatekah,
to my powerlessness,
وضعفي واقتدارك
wa da'afi wa iqtedarekah,
and to Thy might.
وفقري وغنآئك
wa faqree wa qana'ekah.
to my poverty and to Thy wealth.
لا إله إلاّ أنت
La illaha illa antal
There is none other God but Thee,
المهيمن القيّوم
muhaimenol qayoom.
the Help in Peril, the Self-Subsisting.
